A rose garden in Portland, Oregon, located within the magnificent Washington Park. There are roughly 550 different types of roses and a breathtaking 7,000 rose plants. Depending on the weather, roses bloom from April to October, with the peak occurring in June. It is the United States’ oldest functioning public rose test garden and epitomizes Portland’s nickname, “City of Roses.”
Throughout the year, an amphitheater holds a variety of events, primarily classical music concerts and a few plays. It is also popular for picnicking and flying disc games when the sun is shining.
