#16 of 23 eco Experiences in Portland
Governor Tom McCall Waterfront Park was opened to the public in 1978. A 36.59 acre park located along the Willamette River in downtown Portland, Oregon. Voted one of America’s top ten greatest public spaces by the American Planning Association in October 2012. It’s the perfect park for jogging, walking, biking, skateboarding, fountain play, fireworks viewing, Segwaying and much more. Check out the website for all the events, festivals and attractions this beautiful place has to offer.
If a visit to the park is purely for recreational use then we recommend avoiding the hours between 3pm-5pm, as this is rush hours for the every day commuters!
